publication under Lord Beaverbrook with right wing bias
and world’s largest selling newspaper by 1936. It
changed from a middle end broadsheet to a high-end
tabloid in 1977. Few papers could match the quality of
The Daily Express in it’s hey day. More recently has
become considered a mid-end tabloid. Broadsheet
newspaper until 22/1/1977.

with high pictorial content since the early years. Loyal
supporter of the Labour Party since 1945, but right
leaning until the 1930s under the ownership of the

social and sporting events.

world.
The
Sun was first published in 1964 under the name Daily
Herald, it was a broadsheet newspaper until 1969. Today
The Sun is a tabloid newspaper with
a labour bias. Originally
owned by the Mirror Group and thus a staunch Labour
Party supporter. Purchased by Rupert Murdoch in 1969 who
turned the newspaper into the tabloid more right wing
publication that we know today.
